Bowleven is a West Africa focused oil and gas group, based in Edinburgh. The Company has traded on AIM since December 2004. It holds significant equity interests in offshore and onshore exploration acreage in Cameroon.
Bowleven holds a 75% equity interest in the Etinde Permit, being three shallow-water blocks offshore Cameroon, West Africa. The Etinde Permit covers approximately 2,316 km˛ of exploration acreage located across the Rio del Rey and Douala basins. As well as contingent resources on two of the blocks the acreage has very attractive exploration potential. Bowleven also holds a 100% equity interest in the Bomono Permit, onshore Cameroon, comprising approximately 2,328 km2 in the Douala Basin. Both permits are operated by Bowleven through its wholly owned subsidiary EurOil Limited.
The Group has a strong and experienced management team with first-class technical expertise and a track record successfully of finding, financing and delivering oil and gas projects to market.
There is an extensive multi-well appraisal and exploration programme planned on the Cameroon acreage during 2012 as Bowleven actively works towards development sanction on Etinde and begins exploration drilling on Bomono.
